An Attendee's Preview of URI vs. St. Bona - Can URI Bounce Back Against the Booty Bonnies?
I realize that St. Bonaventure is currently sitting at 5-2 in the Atlantic 10 conference standings and they return a lot of players from last season when they were co-A10 regular season champs. With that said, their team is their backcourt. Their starting point guard, Jaylen Adams, is a clear-cut candidate for A10 Player of the Year but he's no Jalen Adams (the one who spelled his first name right) from UCONN. Next, their starting shooting guard, Central Connecticut State transfer, Matt Mobley is a solid scorer who has played 95.2 percent of the Bonnies' 765 minutes this season, which is good for second in the entire country. The fact that he has played so many minutes is admirable but it is not the bragging point that journalists from Olean, New York believe it to be. Their only other notable player is Denzel Gregg, the co-sixth man of the year from the Atlantic 10 Conference who scored 22 points when St. Bonaventure beat URI last season. His award from last year will not help him in Saturday's game but he should always carry it with him because he's not winning anymore awards in the Atlantic 10 anytime soon.
I hope URI does not lose to a team with some of those most hideous jerseys in the history of sports.
