Staying Up-To-Date on the URI Basketball Recruiting Trail: 3/6/17

Up to today, there have been numerous potential recruits and potential (JUCO and D-1) transfers that URI have been linked to. While some of these pursuits are 100% based on rumors, there is true desire with some of the players that the Rams are taking a look at so I thought it would be a good time to go over who all of them are.

To start, the list of players that the Rhode Island men's basketball coaching staff have been linked to include (but are not limited to): F Shakur Juiston (JUCO), F Sandro Mamukelashvili (2017), PG Sylvain Francisco (2017), SG Jaquan 'J.J.' Miles (2017), SF William Vedder (2017), PF Alexis Yetna (2017), F Francesco Badocchi (2017), SG Malik Martin (2018), SG Omar Silverio (2018), SG Michael 'Mike' Devoe (2018), SG Jeenathan Williams (2018), SG D.J. Mitchell (2018), SG Jalen Lecque (2018), Landers Nolley (2018), PG Jalen Carey (2018), PG Anthony Nelson (2018), PG Carlos Curtis (2018), G/F Ikcaven "KK" Curry (2018), G/F Samba Diallo (2018), SF Terrance Boykin (2018), SF Philmon Gebrewhit (2018), SF Sloan Seymour (2018), G/F Frankie Policelli (2018), PF Jermain 'Jermaine' Harris (2018), PF Cole Swider (2018), SG A.J. Reeves (2018), PG Courtney Ramey (2018), PG Immanuel Quickley (2018), SG David Duke (2018), PG Taelon Martin (2019), SG Preston Santos (2019), SF Dana Tate (2019), PF Akok Akok (2019)

As more news comes in and the direction of URI's recruiting starts to come out, I will be on top of it. No matter what happens, I just hope that it does not turn into the Leroy Butts fiasco.

Ultimately, I hope that by the time the Rhode Island coaching staff (potentially) uses their final scholarship for the 2017-2018 season, they do not look like this:

About a URI Attendee

Hi, I attend URI basketball games religiously. I am also a pessimist. These 2 facts do not always mix cohesively. Read my articles to see why.
