Initial Reactions to Ryan Preston's Commitment to URI
After watching the following one minute highlight video from the Sneaker Villa Classic, am I the only one who thinks that Ryan Preston has shades of Hassan Martin? He shows clear signs of being a left-handed interior presence that can dominate the game on the boards and with his blocks. With that said, in this given video, the forward looks like he is simply bigger than most of his opposition. Overall, I like the tempo and the intensity that edge that he plays with. Plus, he clearly has an edge. You all see that shoulder bump at 0:26, right?
Living up to the standards that Hassan Martin and Kuran Iverson have left in Kingston, RI means being a player that is willing to sacrifice for their teammates and work relentlessly in the gym. We will all see what this kid is really about after his first few weeks of summer workouts, under the intense lead of Dan Hurley.
