I am a bit displeased that SG A.J. Reeves, a Massachusetts native, not only did not commit to Rhode Island but he committed to in-state rival, Providence. In addition, I wanted Immanuel Quickley to be a realistic possibility for the Rams but he is "out of their league" at this moment. Rhode Island needs to play their way up to get into the range of bringing in kids like Quickley and recent Villanova commit, Cole Swider. Since Swider is from Portsmouth, Rhode Island, the fact that URI was not even in his final eight schools (PC was) before he committed to one is painful. Going forward, I do not expect SG Jalen Lecque or SG Michael Devoe to be Rhode Island Rams in the future due to the building attention that they are receiving from flagship college basketball programs.
Overall, I have complete faith behind what Dan Hurley and his staff will do on the recruiting trail in the future but there is certainly work to be done.
