URI Madly Mauls Marist on a Merry Monday
While studying for a mind-blowing Electronics exam, I couldn't help but watch the entirety of URI's 2nd game of the 2016-2017 season. On URI's magnificent 144p, 2 frames per second live stream broadcast, URI spread the ball as well as Texas Roadhouse spreads honey on their buns. With 5 players in double figures, URI shot 56% from the field as a team, including 12-21 from beyond the arc. By the end of the night, everyone got into the action, including scores from all Rhode Island scholarship athletes and both of their walk-ons. Couple Rhody's terrific shooting with their 43-21 rebounding advantage as a team and that was the recipe that Dan Hurley's team used on their way to a 107-65 shellacking, much to the enjoyment of the Rhody Ruckus. In terms of positive encouragement for the young Marist basketball team, they tried ... I guess.
As seen below in this picture, Marist's mascots may have evolved over the years but clearly their basketball team has made no progress.
