An Attendee Watches URI Learn How to Pull Out

Coming off the back of another tragic loss to PC, URI came back to the Ryan Center with a gross 5-3 record, wounded and weary of the ODU team that wanted to beat the Rams once more. URI's offense throughout this game was mediocre at best. Fortunately, Old Dominion's offense was even worse. If your star player gets 4 offensive rebounds standing under the rim and still cannot score on the same possession, then it is time to consider playing another sport.

Some people tell me I should be more positive during such a promising season for the Rhode Island Rams. Here's my positive thought: "Hey, at least E.C. Matthews finally showed up in a game of some significance of sorts for the Rams, including a buzzer-beating 3 point shot in some bald kid's eye right as halftime approached. Not like when E.C. missed all his shots or kept passing up shots that star players should be taking against a badly injured Duke squad and an inexperienced PC team."

Luckily for the E.C.-led Rams, URI pulled out a close game for just the 2nd time in the first 8 games of the 2016-2017 season, winning 51-39. Look, Old Dominion's head coach, Jeff Jones shows us all how close he was to getting impregnated watching this supposed "basketball game".

About a URI Attendee

Hi, I attend URI basketball games religiously. I am also a pessimist. These 2 facts do not always mix cohesively. Read my articles to see why.
