Hurley Heroics?
Thorr Bjorn and his staff knew good and well that for the 2012 season they would need to find a coach worthy of more than just a big contract. The next coach to come into Kingston, RI and lead the next regime of talented basketball athletes would need to share the hunger that URI's remaining fan base had for a NCAA tournament appearance. Bjorn's only tremendous problem was discovering who was the right man for this particular job. Did URI need to pursue a big, "sexy" name or maybe a head coach already excelling at a mid-major college? Following much deliberation and anticipation from the Rhode Island fan base, Kingston, Rhode Island ushered in the era of the Hurley's.
