Where They Stand in the Attendee's Eyes After the Non-Conference Schedule
Hmmmmmmmm ..... after careful consideration, I would take Rhode Island's 8-4 start with a grain of salt. Positivity right? Na. As of right now, the Rhody Rams are bound to be a bubble team, which is exactly where you DO NOT want to be going into Selection Sunday. Hopefully they get their act together and run wreck shop through the booty Atlantic 10 conference schedule. The only realistic competitors for the regular season conference championship are the Dayton Flyers and the VCU Rams. Due to their current situation, a 4-1 record is essential in the contests that will oppose Dayton, VCU, and Davidson. Overall, the Rhody faithful should be hoping for no worse than a 14-4 conference record (hopefully no bad losses) that should theoretically put URI squarely in the NCAA tournament for the first time since '99.
Just remember one thing, in conference play, pigs can fly and Barack Obama will be the President of the United States forever.
