At the end of the day, many passionate college basketball fans share the mutual feeling that they could be the perfect head coach for their respective team. I am not an exception to that common trend. If I were Rhode Island's Dan Hurley, I have my own views on exactly how he should set up his lineups for the 2017-2018 season and find success again.

Starting lineup: Jeff Dowtin, Jared Terrell, E.C. Matthews, Cyril Langevine, Michael Layssard Jr.

Bench lineup: Jarvis Garrett/Daron Russell, Stanford Robinson, Christion Thompson, Nicola Akele/Ryan Preston, Michael Tertsea/Andre Berry

3-point lineup: Jarvis Garrett/Daron Russell, Stanford Robinson, Jared Terrell, E.C. Matthews, Nicola Akele

Defensive lineup: Jeff Dowtin, Jared Terrell, Stanford Robinson, Cyril Langevine, Michael Tertsea

Playing big lineup: Jared Terrell, E.C. Matthews/Stanford Robinson, Ryan Preston/Cyril Langevine, Michael Layssard Jr, Michael Tertsea/Andre Berry

Playing small lineup: Jarvis Garrett/Stanford Robinson, Jeff Dowtin, Jared Terrell, E.C. Matthews, Ryan Preston/Cyril Langevine

Free throw lineup: Jarvis Garrett, Stanford Robinson/Christion Thompson, Jared Terrell, E.C. Matthews, Nicola Akele

Using the full court press/trap lineup: Jarvis Garrett/Daron Russell, Jeff Dowtin, Christion Thompson, Stanford Robinson, Jared Terrell

Beating the full court press/trap lineup: Jarvis Garrett/Daron Russell, Jeff Dowtin, Christion Thompson, Stanford Robinson, Jared Terrell

Pure aggression lineup: Jarvis Garrett/Daron Russell, Jeff Dowtin, Stanford Robinson/Christion Thompson, Jared Terrell, Ryan Preston/Cyril Langevine

Garbage time lineup: Will Leviton, Eric Dadika, Daron Russell, Nicola Akele, Andre Berry

Although I have full faith in all of the beliefs that I just relayed about the most optimal 2017-2018 Rhode Island MBB rotation, I do not envy this man's task.

Hi, I attend URI basketball games religiously. I am also a pessimist. These 2 facts do not always mix cohesively. Read my articles to see why.
