Rhody MBB's #1 Is Officially Back Folks!

Off the start of this summer workout video, everyone can see the motivation and drive that is in Jarvis Garrett's eyes, as he prepares for his final season of collegiate basketball. Given everything that he has been through during his first three years of college, all of the Rhode Island MBB wants to see the point guard succeed. Initially, Garrett shows his frustrations with the inconsistencies of his jump shot at the start of his summer workout session. Similar to most cases, the point guard from Milwaukee, Wisconsin battle through the adversity and swished through a bunch of jumpers during the video.

Garrett's trainer who told him to "dig deep" definitely gave him extremely useful advice in his summer training. From the initial misses to after his trainer emphasized the need to push on, JG's jumper looked a lot more fluid.

24 hours later, Jarvis Garrett was unsurprisingly back in the gym and working again. in an important lesson, he went to work on adjusting his jump shot to situations in which the defender switches on to him in pick and roll situations. Everyone has to smile at 2:05 when Garrett was practicing free throws. There is no coincidence that this is the same basketball player that iced a crucial home game versus VCU last season.

From this point in the second training session, the Milwaukee native practiced with getting by contact and hand swipes. Playing in the Atlantic 10 for a fourth consecutive season means that he needs to be ready for a good bunch of missed calls on defensive fouls. At 2:38, I was legitimately surprised to see "JG" hit a lefty jumper. Is he trying to emulate E.C. Matthews now? The most obvious highlight of Garrett's summer work in the work has to be the explosiveness that he has lacked in years past due to his prior jaw injury and illness. After a bunch of speed and conditioning drills, Jarvis Garrett was gassed and his trainer could do nothing but smile and clap. As a rightful way to end his summer training highlights, Garrett showed love to his twin sons.

Evidently, Jarvis Garrett is ready to reclaim his role in the starting lineup and lead the troops to victory. While you are watching, give his YouTube channel a subscription (it's FREE) and let's see what he's up to next.

About a URI Attendee

Hi, I attend URI basketball games religiously. I am also a pessimist. These 2 facts do not always mix cohesively. Read my articles to see why.
