Teams I Would Like to See on the 2018-2019 Rhode Island MBB Schedule
Before the 2018-2019 Rhode Island MBB schedule is fully completed and published, I have assembled a number of teams that I would like to see on it for next season (to benefit URI's chances of getting back into the Big Dance). I tried to take money and geography well into consideration, as well as the possibility of a couple of these (mid-major) teams potentially joining the Atlantic 10 in the future. In addition, I did not mention teams that everyone knows will already be on the 2018-2019 schedule.
Realistically possible: Vermont, Northeastern, Princeton, Bucknell, Cincinnati, Creighton, Xavier, Old Dominion, Middle Tennessee, Western Kentucky, Belmont, ETSU, Buffalo, Loyola Chicago, Boston College
Somewhat possible: Wichita State, Grand Canyon, Marquette, Syracuse, Seton Hall, Ohio State, Boise State, New Mexico State, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Auburn
I can dream: Duke, Kansas, Oregon, Florida, Louisville, Villanova, Gonzaga, North Carolina
Sooner rather than later, it will be time for Dan Hurley and his staff to fill out their full season schedule and I hope some of these aforementioned teams are on it.
