The frontrunners for Akok Akok's services appear to be Providence, North Carolina State, Connecticut, and Texas Tech.
The frontrunners for Trey McGowen's services are Baylor, Clemson, Minnesota, and Providence.
As of February 3, 2018, according to SF Mekhi Long (2019), he is getting the most attention from Maryland, Memphis, Rhode Island, and VCU.
After reopening his recruitment, Brendan Adams followed Dan Hurley to UCONN. URI better be prepared for recruiting warfare with UCONN going forward. The Huskies are already targeting Paul Mulcahy and Kofi Cockburn, two URI targets.
Boston University graduate transfer Cheddi Mosely is strongly considering Rhode Island and he would be a solid addition to the Rams' backcourt.
Also, following his release from Santa Clara, SG Omar Silverio is taking an official visit to Rhode Island this week and he has been recruited by the Rams previously.
With two scholarships currently available for Rhode Island, David Cox and his coaching staff have plenty of work to put in for recruiting.
