Improvements That Each 2018-2019 Rhody MBB Player Needs to Make

I have assembled a list for the improvements that every scholarship player on the 2018-2019 Rhody MBB roster needs to make. If the majority of these improvements are made, I easily see an Atlantic 10 regular season banner, another Atlantic 10 championship trophy, and a deep run through March Madness in the sights of the Rhode Island Rams. Some of the returning players need to make some of the exact same improvements that they needed to make in a previous season(s).

Cyril Langevine

  • After securing rebounds right under the hoop, pass the ball out, instead of throwing up a wild and ugly layup or shot.

  • Increase shooting range

  • Improve free throw shooting

  • Stop getting in foul trouble

  • Learn when to complain about a foul call (not every single one)

Jeff Dowtin

  • Nail down a consistent perimeter jumper

  • Improve free throw shooting percentage

Nicola Akele

  • Keep building muscle and man up in the paint, he is still prone to being outmuscled in the paint

Christion Thompson

  • Turn the ball over less (turned the ball over too much in his sophomore season)

  • Run to the pass and do not just wait for the ball to arrive

  • Improve outside shot

Jermaine Harris

About a URI Attendee

Hi, I attend URI basketball games religiously. I am also a pessimist. These 2 facts do not always mix cohesively. Read my articles to see why.
